Sequenced by age across five dimensions and based on research into emotional development.
Emotional education
ECX is an educational platform that develops emotional intelligence and supports student wellbeing from age 3 to 18.
Available for Year 6 of Primary and Year 1 of Secondary (ESO).

ECX grew out of AV-25, an emotional competence assessment tool used with:
Sequenced by age across five dimensions and based on research into emotional development.
A daily check-in, a safe channel to ask for help, and individual and group follow-up for teachers.
Five characters who accompany students on their journey and grow with them.

Each stage starts with a short video that introduces a key idea.
Seven activities put it into practice: understand, identify, decide, breathe, reflect and apply it outside the classroom.
Reflections are private. Students decide what they share with their tutor.

Every completed activity moves the journey forward and helps their EMOTI grow.
Each dimension of emotional intelligence has its own world and a character who guides students through it.

Students explore five worlds at their own pace. Worlds can be visited in any order; the stages within each world, in sequence.

Teacher dashboard · sample data
Every day, students can share how they feel in under a minute. And if something is wrong, the “I need help” button lets them alert a trusted adult safely. Follow-up is aligned with the school’s protocol and its wellbeing and safeguarding lead.
How it works in schools →Methodology
ECX is built on its own longitudinal curriculum, which orders content according to the emotional and cognitive maturity of each age.
Assessment is built into ECX from the start. The platform itself measures students’ emotional competences with its own assessment model, and teachers add a termly observation of each dimension.

ECX is led by Sergi Vidal, a primary teacher and educational psychologist, lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and founder of Educación con Emoción, where he created AV-25. Years of primary teaching and collaborations with universities and schools are the foundation of the project.

We’ll show you how it could work in your school.
